What is CNGI?
The Cluster Network Germany-India (CNGI) is a research initiation project funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). It aims at strengthening the Indo-German ties in the research areas of “Renewable Energy” and “Energy Efficiency”. Common research activities will be approached in workshops and a moderated online communication platform. Involving clusters/networks from both countries, as well as companies and researchers willing to take part in bilateral research projects, the CNGI wants to get a long lasting Indo-German research cooperation in environmental technologies started.

Who can participate?
Primarily thought up for clusters and networks, the CNGI welcomes any company, research institute or university interested in building a sustainable Indo-German research network in the areas of “Renewable Energy” and “Energy Efficiency”.

How to participate?
Any interested company, research facilitiy e.g. is warmly welcome to join the project  through registering here. This webpage offers a communication area, enabling a private exchange between the members. Apart from this, it consists of permanently actualized information about the CNGI-project, including profiles of the members, a list of actual events and formal information about how to start new projects.

Who`s behind it?
The project is part of the campaign “Research in Germany”, founded by the German ministry for research and education BMBF.
As the project leader, the German Competence Network for Distributed Energy Supply deENet is a cluster consisting of more than 110 members, covering all sectors along the value chain – from R&D to production and education. One of the members of deENet participating in the CNGI, the Limón GmbH, is an enterprise specialized in innovative solutions to make industrial processes and sites more energy efficient.
